The Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company has signed a cooperation protocol with the Afro-Asian General Union Investors (AAGUI) to strengthen joint cooperation and create new opportunities for implementing major projects in Egypt and abroad.
The protocol was signed at the headquarters of the Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company. The agreement comes in line with directives by State Minister for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gamblat to enhance cooperation with investment and economic entities, strengthen integration with the private sector and business community, and open new avenues for military production companies to expand into foreign markets.
The move also supports Egypt’s efforts to deepen economic and investment partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries. The protocol was signed by Chairman of the Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company Maged Soliman El-Serti and President of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization (AAPSO) Mohamed El-Orabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the General Union of Afro-Asian Investors, and a member of the Senate.
Under the protocol, cooperation will cover a number of key sectors, including urban development and infrastructure projects, new cities, industrial and logistics zones, housing, roads, bridges, ports and airports, in addition to conventional and renewable energy projects and drinking water and wastewater treatment plants.
The agreement also provides for cooperation in healthcare projects, educational facilities, community services, and the restoration and rehabilitation of heritage and historic buildings, as well as operations, maintenance and facilities management. It further covers the use of artificial intelligence and advanced technological solutions in project planning and management, engineering consultancy services, and training programs aimed at developing and qualifying human resources.
The two sides also agreed to establish a joint committee comprising representatives of both parties. The committee will meet periodically to develop action plans, assess proposed opportunities and initiatives, and work to overcome any obstacles that may arise, with a view to translating cooperation opportunities into projects on the ground.
