Minister of State for Military Production Salah Gombalat said the ministry is translating President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives into practical steps to increase production, localize technology, and maximize the use of state assets. During an inspection visit to Abu Zaabal Specialized Chemicals Company (military factory 18), Gombalat reviewed production operations and modernization plans, emphasizing efforts to deepen local manufacturing and strengthen national industrial capabilities in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
He said that the ministry is implementing a strategy to upgrade affiliated companies, improve operational efficiency, and reduce reliance on imports while enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products. He also inspected a key production line that had previously been out of service and was recently reoperated as part of a plan to boost output and improve efficiency.
The line was restored entirely by the company's technical staff without foreign assistance, highlighting the capabilities of Egypt's domestic workforce. Gombalat stressed the importance of maintaining quality and safety standards and expanding training programs to enhance human capital and support sustainable industrial development.
