Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gamblatt conferred with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SC Johnson Fisk Johnson on ways to enhance bilateral industrial cooperation. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Military Production's headquarters in the training sector in El Salam City.
Gamblatt expressed the ministry's pride in its longstanding partnership with SC Johnson, which dates back to 1979, describing it as a successful model of industrial cooperation with one of the leading US companies in the manufacture of chemical products and household cleaning supplies, including insecticides, air fresheners and detergents.
The Minister noted that the partnership between Abu Zaabal Company for Specialized Chemicals and SC Johnson had achieved numerous successes over the past decades and overcome various challenges, laying the groundwork for expanding the strategic partnership in the coming period.
He added that the ministry remains open to cooperation with both international and domestic companies, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to strengthen the role of the private sector in industry, attract investment, deepen local manufacturing and maximize the use of the production capacities and assets of affiliated companies.
He said cooperation with strategic partners, particularly SC Johnson, supports the transfer and localization of advanced technologies and strengthens the ministry's plans to expand exports, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products and creating added value for the national economy.
He stressed that preserving and expanding existing investments requires keeping pace with the latest management strategies and advanced manufacturing techniques to ensure the sustainability and profitability of successful partnerships. For his part, Johnson praised the long-standing partnership between SC Johnson and the ministry, commending the manufacturing, technological and technical capabilities of the ministry's affiliated companies.
He reaffirmed SC Johnson's commitment to maintaining and expanding bilateral cooperation and expressed the company's aspiration to broaden its investments in the Egyptian market, which would enhance access to markets across Africa and the Middle East.
