Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad and Aswan Governor Amr Lashin handed over tool kits to irregular construction workers and commodity vouchers to Orascom Construction workers on Saturday to support their production efforts and demonstrate continuous state care. At the Egyptian Chemical Industries Company (KIMA) in Aswan, the officials attended an awareness seminar on occupational safety principles and the new Labor Law No.
14 of 2025. The Minister reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to providing social and health protection to irregular workers under political directives, praising the province's productive citizens. He also affirmed the ministry's readiness to train Aswan youth in various professions required by the labor market within the framework of its "Training for Employment" plan.
The Minister noted during his speech that the company is a pillar of national industry in Egypt and the Middle East, representing a successful model of industrial development since its establishment in 1956. He explained that the "KIMA 2" project embodies an advanced national experience using the latest global technologies and environmental safety standards to boost production and export capacities while creating thousands of jobs in Upper Egypt.
The Minister emphasized that Aswan symbolizes development, noting that the ministry continues to qualify youth and link vocational training with market needs under directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, while the new labor law balances workers' rights and investment encouragement.
Concluding his speech, the Minister praised KIMA workers, stating that the New Republic is built on production. Governor Lashin welcomed the Minister and KIMA Managing Director Sameh Talaat, calling KIMA an industrial stronghold of Egyptian determination under the vision of President Sisi.
The Governor noted that KIMA has successfully kept pace with modern developments through the "KIMA 2" plant and praised its community role, highlighting its contribution to building a pedestrian bridge equipped with four elevators to enhance public safety near railways.
He also expressed his aspiration to restore the academic role of the KIMA Technical Training Institute to prepare qualified technical cadres and provide real job opportunities for youth.
