Justice, investment ministries sign pact to digitize investor servicesJustice Minister Mahmoud El Sherif and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid witnessed on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Real Estate Registration and Notarization Sector at the Ministry of Justice and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), aimed at streamlining procedures for investors and digitizing services.

The initiative is designed to shorten company incorporation procedures and improve operational efficiency in line with applicable laws and regulations. Sherif said the protocol reflects the ministry's commitment to a full transition to a smart digital environment, stressing that secure electronic notarization services for companies are essential to protecting investors' funds, saving time and effort, and supporting efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment.

He added that digital services would also strengthen investors' and business leaders' confidence in Egypt's administrative procedures. For his part, Farid stressed that improving the investor journey requires continued coordination and integration among government entities, particularly through digital solutions for exchanging data and documents.

He said the protocol would reduce the procedures required from investors and shorten the time needed to obtain services, contributing to improved investor services and facilitating the establishment and operation of businesses. Farid added that the initiative would help attract new investments and support the expansion of existing ones.
