Egypt has a strong competitive edge in the offshoring industry, with its various governorates offering diverse pools of talent and skills that enable global companies to build multi-location operations from Egypt and serve international markets efficiently and flexibly, said Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
Elzaher made the remarks on the sidelines of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s visit on Wednesday,August 26,20226 to several major global companies operating in the offshoring industry in Alexandria. “Alexandria shows how Egypt can expand its offshoring footprint beyond Cairo by bringing global companies closer to highly skilled regional talent,” Elzaher said.
He noted that the expansion of global companies in Alexandria demonstrates their ability to build growing operations from Egypt to serve multiple global markets, leveraging Egyptian talent, diverse technical and interpersonal skills, and foreign-language proficiency.
