Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber to discuss means of cooperation to upgrade the governorate’s hospitals and healthcare facilities. This aims at improving the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed proposals for modernizing existing hospitals and improving healthcare infrastructure, as well as identifying suitable locations for new medical facilities that would address growing demand for specialized healthcare services.
Talks also focused on ensuring compliance with technical standards and providing an optimal treatment environment for patients. Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the meeting tackled mechanisms for expanding healthcare projects across Cairo as part of a comprehensive plan to enhance healthcare efficiency and achieve the highest quality standards, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the state’s broader healthcare strategy.
The minister asserted the ministry’s commitment to continuing the modernization of healthcare facilities and expanding medical services to meet citizens’ needs. He emphasized the importance of sustained coordination among relevant authorities to achieve a qualitative transformation in Egypt’s healthcare system.
For his part, Saber expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Health’s efforts to develop hospitals and healthcare infrastructure, noting that ongoing improvements are having a positive impact on service quality. He also stressed the governorate’s commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation with the ministry to implement planned development projects.
