Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid said the government is committed to creating an attractive investment environment that supports existing companies and encourages them to expand and increase their investments in Egypt. During a meeting with Omar Al-Futtaim, Vice Chairman and CEO of UAE-based Al-Futtaim Group, Farid said Egypt is continuing to digitize and streamline investment procedures to provide investors with a clear and integrated experience.
The meeting discussed opportunities to expand Al-Futtaim’s investments in logistics, development and management of commercial and administrative complexes, energy projects and investment zones. Farid also highlighted opportunities for logistics projects supporting industrial and commercial companies, developing supply chains and improving access to foreign markets.
Al-Futtaim said the group remains committed to expanding in Egypt and exploring new investment opportunities, noting that Egypt has been an important market for the group for 50 years.
