Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hindy discussed with Chairman of Concentrix Egypt Amr Sobhy the company's expansion plans in the country, efforts to create new jobs and opportunities for cooperation in digital skills development. During the meeting, officials reviewed plans by Concentrix, a global provider of outsourcing, business services and contact center solutions, to expand its operations into five additional governorates and increase its workforce in Egypt by 11,000 employees over the next two years.
The company aims to raise the number of its employees in Egypt to 35,000 by the end of 2028. In January 2025, Concentrix signed a memorandum of understanding with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency to expand its operations in Egypt through investments estimated at $1 billion, with plans to create 16,000 new jobs by the end of 2028.
Hindy said the company's continued expansion and growing investments in Egypt reflect the attractiveness of the country's business environment and increasing interest from global firms in investing in Egypt as a hub for outsourcing and digital service exports.
He noted that many international outsourcing companies are expanding their presence in Egypt, supported by advanced digital infrastructure, a favorable business climate and a pool of qualified young talent capable of serving clients across global markets. The minister also highlighted the ministry's efforts to expand specialized training programs that prepare young people for the global labor market and align training outcomes with the needs of companies, helping attract further investments and increase Egypt's digital exports.
For his part, Sobhy said Concentrix has grown from around 150 employees when it started operations in Egypt in 2009 to approximately 24,000 employees today, making Egypt the company's third-largest operating hub worldwide after India and the Philippines, and the largest in the region.
