The Egyptian Bourse has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Media Authority (NMA) to promote financial literacy among citizens and enhance specialized coverage of economic news and capital market developments across the authority’s television channels and digital platforms.
In a statement issued on Monday, October 19, 2026, the bourse said the agreement aims to expand investment knowledge, simplify stock trading concepts and improve economic content for the public, helping raise awareness of saving and long-term investment opportunities.
The signing ceremony was attended by National Media Authority Chairman Ahmed El-Muslimani and Egyptian Bourse Chairman Omar Radwan. The agreement was signed by Egyptian Bourse Vice Chairman Mohamed Sabry and Television Sector Head Mohamed Ibrahim, in the presence of Egyptian Television Channel One Head Manal El-Daftar and a number of senior officials from Maspero and the bourse.
The protocol seeks to strengthen institutional cooperation in promoting financial literacy and presenting the stock market as a tool for saving and long-term investment, while addressing knowledge gaps surrounding trading and investment through the extensive reach of national media platforms.
El-Muslimani said the Egyptian Bourse was a key pillar of the national economy, adding that Egyptian television channels prioritize stock market developments through specialized economic programs and segments targeting the entire family. He said the authority was committed to supporting the national economy and informing citizens about stock market indices and daily trading.
He added that Channel One and Egyptian Television teams had been instructed to simplify economic concepts and explain how the bourse operates, ensuring clear and accessible information for investors, specialists and viewers across Egypt. El-Muslimani welcomed the agreement, describing it as a new starting point for broader and more effective cooperation.
He stressed the need to begin implementing its provisions immediately to highlight the Egyptian Bourse’s role in supporting the national economy. For his part, Radwan said the main challenge facing the development of Egypt’s capital market was no longer limited to introducing modern financial instruments or upgrading technological and regulatory systems, but also involved building a sustainable investment culture that enables citizens to make informed financial decisions.
He said the partnership with Maspero, a major national media institution, would help extend economic knowledge beyond specialists to wider segments of society by simplifying financial concepts and explaining trading indicators and investment mechanisms.
