Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company Captain Ahmed Adel held, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, a series of bilateral meetings with airline representatives during the 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He met with executives from Etihad Airways, Riyadh Air, JetBlue, and United Airlines to discuss current and future cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities in line with EgyptAir’s strategy to expand internationally and open new markets and destinations.
The discussions also covered challenges facing the aviation industry, future growth opportunities, and the importance of stronger cooperation among airlines to support sustainable industry growth. Adel said that strategic partnerships are a key driver of growth in air transport and help create new markets for EgyptAir’s services.
Meanwhile, he participated in the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board meeting, where member airlines reviewed joint strategic projects and ways to strengthen cooperation to improve customer experience and service efficiency across the alliance’s global network.
