The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Egypt Mining Forum 2026, focused on using specialized international expertise to develop mining projects and improve implementation efficiency, in line with the state's efforts to maximize the added value of mineral resources and attract more investment to the sector.
Badawi stressed the value of working with international companies with expertise across the various stages of mining projects. The two sides also discussed training and human-capital development through practical training and technical qualification programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Egyptian workers and enabling them to benefit from global technologies and practices.
Natarajan expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and welcomed the opportunity to participate in the Egypt Mining Forum 2026. He said Worley was keen to deepen ties with the ministry and companies operating in Egypt's mining sector. The sides agreed to strengthen links between Worley and Egyptian mining companies to better understand their needs, projects and development stages, opening opportunities in infrastructure, processing facilities and other components of mining projects.
They also agreed to maintain coordination on existing and new projects and explore ways to apply Worley's expertise to integrated solutions supporting the growth of Egypt's mining sector, alongside development of its workforce.
