Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Alaa Farouk said on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Egypt’s agriculture and poultry sectors offer competitive advantages and promising investment opportunities that can support sustainable development and strengthen food security.
Speaking to a delegation of Turkish businessmen and investors, Farouk said the government was working to improve the investment climate, remove obstacles and support domestic and foreign capital. The meeting discussed boosting Egyptian-Turkish private-sector partnerships, agricultural trade, technology transfer and the development of livestock and poultry supply chains.
Both sides also explored the possibility of using Turkey as a regional hub for Egyptian poultry exports to neighboring markets, benefiting from its geographic position and supply networks. They agreed to arrange a field visit for Turkish investors to poultry farms, modern slaughterhouses and major agricultural projects in Egypt to assess investment opportunities and technological advances.
