“The strategic transport projects are driving development by improving infrastructure, supporting the national economy and making daily travel easier for citizens,” State Council President Mahmoud Abu el Dahab said on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Abu el Dahab made the remarks during a meeting with Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir at the State Council headquarters in Cairo.
The State Council President praised the Transport Ministry’s work in planning and carrying out major national projects across different transport sectors. He also expressed the council’s commitment to expanding cooperation with the Transport Ministry and other state institutions in areas serving the public interest.
El Wazir, who congratulated Abu el Dahab on assuming his position and on the approaching start of the new judicial year, discussed the State Council’s role in supporting the rule of law and government decision-making. Transport Minister said that the council’s legal opinions provide government ministries and institutions with guidance on interpreting and applying legislation.
He added that this legal guidance helps state bodies resolve administrative obstacles, ensure decisions comply with the law and protect the public interest.
