Egypt's top 15 food export markets accounted for about 60% of the country's total food industry exports in the January-July period, worth $2.67 billion of the sector's total $4.47 billion in exports, the Food Export Council (FEC) said on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Saudi Arabia was Egypt's largest food export market during the period, with exports worth $363 million, followed by the United States at $290 million. Libya ranked third with $196 million, followed by Jordan at $194 million, the Netherlands at $189 million, Spain at $188 million, Sudan at $183 million, and Algeria at $159 million.
Egypt's food industry exports also reached $156 million to Iraq, $142 million each to Palestine and China, $135 million to Italy, $126 million to the United Arab Emirates, $108 million to the United Kingdom, and $99 million to Germany. The council said the figures reflected the growing geographical diversification of Egyptian food exports across Arab, European, U.S.
