Egyptian Labor Minister Hassan Raddad on Saturday, September 26, 2026, discussed with Jordanian Transport and Labor Minister Nidal al Qatamin ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two countries in labor affairs, labor market regulation, and the conditions of Egyptian workers in Jordan.
This came during a meeting at the Jordanian Ministry of Labor in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Al-Abyad and their accompanying delegation, as part of an official visit by the Egyptian Minister aimed at developing cooperation on labor issues.
The meeting addressed several issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the conditions of Egyptian workers in Jordan and ways to enhance coordination between the two ministries to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples. The two ministers underscored the importance of continued communication and coordination between the Jordanian and Egyptian labor ministries to strengthen cooperation on labor and workers’ issues and safeguard the rights of Egyptian workers in Jordan in accordance with Jordanian laws and regulations.
Qatamin highlighted the depth of the historic ties between Jordan and Egypt, which are supported and guided by the leadership of the two countries. He stressed Jordan’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Egypt across various fields. Qatamin expressed Jordan’s appreciation for Egyptian workers, saying the Jordanian government is committed to regulating the labor market and safeguarding the rights of all non-Jordanian workers.
He stressed that Egyptian workers’ compliance with Jordanian labor laws, regulations and instructions, as well as obtaining official work permits, provides a safeguard for workers’ rights and dignity For his part, Labor Minister Hassan Raddad expressed appreciation to Jordan’s King, government and people for the warm reception and their efforts to care for Egyptian workers.
He affirmed the depth of the brotherly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries. Raddad stressed the Egyptian Labor Ministry’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and maintaining coordination with the Jordanian side, alongside raising Egyptian workers’ awareness of the need to comply with laws and regulations in the Kingdom in a way that contributes to labor market stability and serves mutual interests.
