Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom affirmed that the Egyptian economy has demonstrated clear resilience against regional and global geopolitical shocks, noting that performance indicators reflect established stability, with growth reaching 5% in Q3 of the last fiscal year and 5.2% over the first nine months.
This came during his meeting with Forbes Global Properties CEO Michael Gilbert and Magnom Properties CEO Maged Marei to discuss expanding Egyptian market investments and the real estate sector's role in advancing Vision 2030 sustainable development goals. He pointed out that the construction, building, and real estate investment sector has become a primary growth driver, serving as a strategic engine propelling dozens of feeding industries and ranking among top employment generators.
The minister concluded the meeting by affirming the government's commitment to supporting investment entities and activating the State Ownership Policy Document to grant the private sector greater space to lead development and improve citizens' living standards.
