e& Egypt has partnered with Intel under the “AI for Citizens” initiative, implemented by Intel in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), to provide accessible AI training and awareness programs and develop digital skills among citizens.The initiative targets people across different backgrounds, including non-specialists, through Arabic and English training content covering AI fundamentals, applications and potential without requiring a technical background.
Under the partnership, e& Egypt will serve as an implementation and hosting partner, providing internet connectivity and the infrastructure needed to access Intel’s training content, helping expand the program’s reach. Amr Fathy, Chief Technology and Information Officer at e& Egypt, said the partnership represents a new step toward expanding access to AI-related knowledge and digital skills, stressing the importance of enabling individuals to understand and benefit from emerging technologies in line with future needs.
Taha Khalifa, Intel’s General Manager for the Middle East and Africa, said expanding learning opportunities and building AI skills are essential to enabling individuals and communities to benefit from technology’s potential.He highlighted the importance of providing accessible content that brings AI concepts closer to citizens.The partnership comes as part of e& Egypt’s efforts to support digital transformation and build a knowledge- and innovation-based economy, in line with Egypt’s National AI Strategy 2025–2030.The “AI for Citizens” initiative is scheduled to be implemented in Egypt by the end of this year, with the partnership expected to provide a basis for further joint initiatives focused on digital knowledge and skills related to emerging technologies.
