Damietta Port received on Monday, July 20, 2026, nine ships and saw the departure of eight others over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of vessels handled at the port to 25 container ships and general cargo vessels. In a statement, the Damietta Port Authority said general cargo exports totaled 3,647 tons, including 77 tons of beet pulp feed, 170 tons of clinker and 3,400 tons of urea.
General cargo imports reached 30,709 tons, comprising 4,200 tons of scrap metal, 6,339 tons of iron, 2,537 tons of beech wood, 4,955 tons of plywood, 878 tons of corn, 6,997 tons of soybeans and 4,803 tons of miscellaneous goods. The authority added that container exports amounted to 986 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), while container imports totaled 168 TEUs.
Transit container traffic reached 3,398 TEUs. The public sector grain silos at the port held 103,442 tons of wheat, while private sector warehouses contained 57,757 tons. Truck traffic entering and leaving the port totaled 5,758 movements.
