Page Content In implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, regarding the necessity of developing investment promotion tools and shifting from the general presentation of opportunities to the direct targeting of companies and priority sectors, Dr.
Mohamed Awad, GAFI CEO, held an expanded meeting with the leadership of GAFI's Promotion Sector to review current action plans and align them with the state's objectives for attracting investments. Dr. Mohamed Awad emphasized the importance of the Promotion Sector's role in attracting Foreign Direct Investment, in a manner that directly contributes to supporting the national economy, strengthening its development capabilities, and enhancing its competitiveness at both the regional and international levels.
He directed the introduction of innovative mechanisms to attract investments from abroad through launching new initiatives that support improving the perception of Egypt's investment climate, as well as preparing integrated promotional content based on economic data and indicators that highlights the incentives and investment opportunities available within the Egyptian economy.
GAFI CEO also reviewed the economic sectors that are currently the most prepared and attractive for investment, highlighting the competitive advantages and promising growth opportunities these sectors offer in contributing to maximizing added value, increasing exports, and creating sustainable job opportunities.
Dr. Mohamed Awad stressed the importance of establishing a clear and organized mechanism for communication and follow-up with every targeted company or investor, monitoring developments in the global investment environment, and providing the necessary support at all stages, with the aim of transforming opportunities into actual investments on the ground.
During the meeting, the targets of the Promotion Sector for the coming period, as well as the current challenges and proposed solutions to overcome them, were reviewed.
