Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the government headquarters in the New Capital to discuss a number of political, economic, social and other issues on the government’s agenda.The meeting will also review ways to implement presidential directives assigned to the government within appropriate timelines.The cabinet is scheduled to discuss a number of issues, including a review of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s activities during the week and his participation in the BRICS Summit.It will also review the prime minister’s tours during the current week of Kafr el Sheikh Governorate, where he inspected a number of service and development projects, as well as his tour of transport projects in Cairo and Giza.
The meeting will also address President El-Sisi’s directives to the government to continue intensifying efforts to curb inflation and increase spending on the health, education and social protection sectors.The cabinet will also follow up on efforts to regulate markets and ensure the availability of food commodities, as well as the continued implementation of various national projects across Egypt’s governorates.The talks will also tackle expanding social protection measures and care for the most vulnerable citizens, along with efforts to develop the education and health sectors, promote comprehensive development and investment, increase exports, and localize industries as part of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The cabinet will also follow up on previously taken measures concerning investment, industry and exports, expanding agricultural land, allocating industrial lands to investors, the social security system and tax affairs, as well as development efforts across various state sectors, measures to support low-income citizens, and ensuring citizens’ needs are met in general.
