At its weekly meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Cabinet was briefed on the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) Board’s approval of 43 requests to allocate plots of land to companies under a dollar-denominated sales system, with payment made from outside Egypt, in line with approved regulations and mechanisms.
The allocations cover plots of various sizes in New Borg El Arab, New Cairo, 10th of Ramadan, 6th of October, Sadat, El Shorouk, Obour, Badr, New October, New Mansoura, New Beni Suef, New Assiut, Hadayek October, and New Aswan. The plots will be used for a range of commercial, urban development, residential, administrative, educational, hotel, investment, and service projects, as well as workshops, warehouses, two vehicle service and fueling stations, and a green-energy data center.
The Cabinet also approved a decision by the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund to offer the remaining housing units in a project comprising 111 buildings in the Mohamed Mehran area of El-Raswa, south of Port Said, to remaining eligible beneficiaries of social housing projects previously offered in the governorate in 2013, as well as applicants for cooperative housing.
The decision sets the rules governing the offering, including a maximum monthly income of EGP 15,000 for individual applicants and EGP 19,000 for families, in addition to the financial obligations applicable to beneficiaries.
