Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Mokhtar Abdel Latif conducted a field visit to a number of villages in Aswan Governorate as part of the presidential “Decent Life 1” initiative to follow up on projects being implemented by AOI factories and companies.
During the two-day field tour, Abdel Latif stressed the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to expedite the completion of Decent Life projects and ensure that they are brought into service according to the established schedules.
He affirmed that the AOI continues to play a key role as a partner in implementing national projects, while intensifying field visits to monitor progress on the ground and ensure compliance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. These efforts aim to accelerate implementation, complete projects and prepare them for operation, thereby contributing to the objectives of comprehensive development in the Egyptian countryside.
During the visit, the AOI chairman inspected a number of projects being implemented by the organization’s factories and companies in villages in the Edfu and Kom Ombo districts. He reviewed progress rates and stressed the need to intensify work and maintain close coordination with various executive and consulting authorities to overcome any obstacles and ensure that the projects are completed to the highest standards and brought into service according to the planned schedules.
He directed the enhancement of the remote monitoring system for “Decent Life 1” projects through the installation of surveillance cameras by the AOI’s Electronics Factory. The measure is intended to enable real-time monitoring of implementation progress, ensure compliance with the specified schedules for certain projects, and facilitate the immediate identification of challenges or obstacles at work sites and prompt intervention to address them.
He also stressed the importance of providing the targeted villages with various equipment and products manufactured by the AOI to support their infrastructure. The AOI chairman said the “Decent Life” initiative represents one of the largest national sustainable development projects in Egypt’s history.
He praised the advanced completion rates achieved across Aswan Governorate in various service and development sectors, attributing the progress to concerted efforts and the effective use of technical and engineering capabilities and expertise to implement projects in accordance with the highest engineering standards.
Abdel Latif also held an open dialogue with engineers, workers, contractors and representatives of implementing companies, listening to their views and discussing potential solutions and proposals. He stressed the importance of accelerating implementation in line with the established schedules.
