A total of 14 vessels arrived at and departed from ports operated by the Red Sea Ports Authority on Sunday, August 23, 2026, handling 14,000 tons of cargo, 742 trucks and 157 vehicles. In a statement, the authority said imports involved seven vessels carrying 4,000 tons of cargo, 317 trucks and 89 vehicles, while exports involved seven vessels carrying 10,000 tons of cargo, 425 trucks and 68 vehicles.
Safaga Port received four vessels — POSEIDON EXPRESS, PELAGOS EXPRESS, Al Hurriya and Al Hurriya 2 — while three vessels, ALCUDIA EXPRESS, PRIDGE and Amal, departed the port. Nuweiba Port handled 5,800 tons of cargo and 283 trucks through shuttle trips by four vessels: Ayla, Al Hussein, Awr and Sina.
The authority's ports also recorded the arrival and departure of 1,300 passengers.
