Maritime traffic at the Red Sea Ports Authority reached 10 vessels on Sunday, August 9, 2026, accounting for 13,000 tons of cargo, 666 trucks, and 102 cars. The authority said in a statement that imports accounted for five vessels carrying 6,000 tons of cargo, 354 trucks, and 91 cars, while exports involved five vessels carrying 7,000 tons of cargo, 312 trucks, and 11 cars.
Safaga Port received the Alcudia Express and Bridge vessels, while the Pelagos Express and Al-Horreya 2 departed, the authority said. Nuweiba Port handled 4,400 tons of cargo and 237 trucks through shuttle trips operated by three vessels: Al-Hussein, Sina, and Aila.
The authority's ports also recorded the arrival and departure of 1,257 passengers.
